Milton Ray Ivey, 83 of Roanoke Rapids, NC passed away on Friday, March 11, 2022 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, NC.
He was born on January 12, 1939 in Halifax County to the late Richard and Elma Ivey and was preceded in death by his brothers, Richard Earl (Dick) Ivey and Robert Ivey.
Milton retired from Champion International Paper and loved bowling and sports of all kinds.

He is survived by his wife, Joan Ivey; his step-son, Jeffrey Dixon and his wife, Sandy; his grandchildren, Kelly Perkins and her husband, Brien, Caitlyn Dixon and his great-grand-child, Foster Perkins; his sisters, Shirley Deaver, Ophelia Taylor and her husband, Donald, Pattie Phelps and her husband, Lou and Cathy McCanless and husband, Walt and his brother Jerry Ivey and his wife, Ann and his several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, March 14, 2022 at 2pm at Askew Funeral & Cremation Services with Rev. Randy Martin and Rev. Jeremy Kobernat officiating.
The visitation will be held on Monday at the funeral home from 1pm until service time.
