Tammy Etheleen Lewter, 50, of Pleasant Hill, North Carolina passed away on Tuesday, November 16, 2021.

She was born in Emporia, Virginia in 1971 to the late Joseph Carson and Elizabeth Ann Boone Lewter and was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Clyde Carson and Bertha Morgan Lewter and her maternal grandparents, Thomas David Boone, Sr. and Mary Whitehead Boone.

Tammy loved doing crossword puzzles, watching wrestling, riding and enjoyed getting her scratch-off tickets.

She is survived by her fiancé and caregiver, Raymond Born of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina; her sister, Mary Lewter Pair and her husband, Jimmy of Pleasant Hill, North Carolina; her nieces, Christina Martin and her husband, William of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina and Allison Pair of Pleasant Hill, North Carolina; her Aunt, Nancy B. Love and Walter Rook; her cousin, John T. Rook; her great nieces and nephews, Brayden Martin, Emmilynn Martin, Blake Rook and host of family and friends.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the nurses and doctors of Vidant Cancer Center in Greenville.

Funeral Services to celebrate Tammy’s life will be held on Sunday, November 21, 2021 at 2pm with Rev. Randy Crowder officiating in the chapel of Askew Funeral Service- Jackson Chapel, 313 E. Jefferson Street Jackson, North Carolina.

Interment will immediately follow in Seaboard Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 20, 2021 from 6pm until 8pm at the funeral home in Jackson.
