Brett Anthony Peterson, 11, died Sunday October 3, 2021.

He was born in Roanoke Rapids on July 1, 2010.

Brett loved hunting and anything outdoors. He was a sixth-grader at Chaloner Middle School in Roanoke Rapids.

He is survived by his parents, Mark Anthony Peterson, Jr of Halifax and Amber Ruble of Roanoke Rapids; his paternal grandparents, Michelle Bradley and Mark A. Peterson, Sr of Halifax; maternal grandparents Kathy Deberry of Jackson and Kevin Ruble of Roanoke Rapids; great grandparents, Robert and Deanie Bradley of Halifax, Elaine Joyner of Roanoke Rapids and Linda Ruble of Roanoke Rapids; Uncle, Dillion Ruble of Roanoke Rapids; great aunts, Lisa Walters and her husband, Scott of Littleton, Jennifer Millius of Halifax and Jennifer Jones and her husband, Brad of Roanoke Rapids; great uncles, Joey Bradley of Halifax and Jerry Peterson of Harrisburg, Va.; cousins, Logan and Taylor Walters, John and Josh Jones, Alex Hawkins and Cory Wrenn.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday October 8, 2021 in the Chapel of Askew Funeral and Cremation Services at 11 am with Ethan Davis officiating.

Interment will follow at Brett’s Way Cemetery, Halifax, NC

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 7-8:30 at the funeral home.
