Bahanson Weathers DeBerry, 80 of Woodland, NC passed away on Friday, October 30, 2020 at Vidant-Roanoke Chowan Hospital in Ahoskie.

He was born on November 1, 1939 in Halifax County, NC to the late James Russell and Grace Marie Zeiler DeBerry.

Bahnson is survived by his loving surviving companion Betty J. Lucas of Woodland, NC; his daughter, Debbie Melson of Powell’s Point, NC; his son, Jim Ed DeBerry and his wife, Patsy of Hertford, NC; his grandchildren and his brother Victor DeBerry.

The family would like to give a special thank you to hospice and Bonnie Futrell, his Caregiver. 

Memorial Services will be held on Sunday at 3pm in the chapel at Askew Funeral Service- Jackson Chapel with Rev. Roy Porter officiating.

The family will receive friends after the service at the funeral home.
