Howard Earl Tolbert 62, of Gaston died Friday September 14, 2012 at his home with his family by his side.

Howard a native of Halifax County was the son of the late Stuart Tolbert. He was also preceded in death by his brother Wayne Tolbert.

He is survived by his daughters Tracy T. Olesnevich and her husband Mick of Roanoke Rapids and Dodi Tolbert of Baltimore, MD; his mother Frances Tolbert of Gaston; sister Shirley Epps; brothers Jimmy Tolbert and his wife Dawn and Danny Tolbert all of Gaston; two grand daughters Bethany and Brooke Lassiter and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held Monday September 17, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids.

The Family received friends Sunday, September 16, from 7-8:30 at Askew Funeral and Cremation services in Roanoke Rapids.
