Rebecca Susan Johnson Moseley passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at Signature Healthcare of Roanoke Rapids, NC.

She was born on July 13, 1951 in Roanoke Rapids, NC as the youngest child to the late Samuel and Hazel Johnson of Seaboard, NC. She was preceded in death by her brother, Samuel Johnson and her sisters, Loretta Buckner, Jean Lawrence, and Rachel Turner.

Sue married Donny B. Moseley on July 18, 1971 at Seaboard Baptist Church in Seaboard NC. They built a life together beginning in Gaston, NC and later relocating to Roanoke Rapids, NC.  She worked in the school system but spent most of her life as a homemaker.  

She bowled in a league with her sisters and enjoyed traveling and scrap-booking, which allowed her to spend much time reminiscing over family photos. Sue was a member of the New Testament Christian Church.

She is survived by her loving and faithful husband who was her caretaker, Donny B. Moseley; her sons, Christopher S. Moseley and his wife, Melody, Kevin C. Moseley and his wife, Chris; her grandchildren, Katie M. Evans and her husband, Zach, Cole Bullock and his wife, Michelle and Cameron Moseley. She is also survived by her great grandchildren, Ava Evans, Joe Evans, Peyton Tripp, Cooper Tripp, and Blakelyn Bullock; her father-in-law, Sam Moseley and his wife, Beulah; her sister-in-law, Darlene Williams and her husband, Kenny as well as many special nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her most beloved cat, Jayne.

Funeral services were held at New Testament Christian Church on Sunday, January 26 at 2:30 PM with Minister, Daniel West officiating.  

Interment followed in Seaboard Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the New Testament Christian Church.
