The Bosom Buddies Foundation will hold its I’m Every Woman: Living With Breast Cancer panel discussion and pop-up shop on Saturday, October 12, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. 

The program will be held at Halifax Community College, Room 401 A/B.

The event will feature a panel of experts and survivors who will share their personal journeys and professional insights into the world of breast cancer. 

This year’s panelists include:

Dr. Veronica Zachary, breast surgeon

Theresa Taylor, oncology nurse navigator

Elizabeth Inscoe, nurse practitioner

Akelia Sullivan, described by organizers as a breast cancer warrior

Alisa Branch, licensed clinical mental health counselor

Vernon Williams, wellness and fitness professional

The panel will be moderated by Judge Teresa Freeman, who will guide the discussion on surviving and thriving while living with breast cancer. Attendees will hear from healthcare professionals, mental health experts, and fitness coaches who work with breast cancer patients, along with stories from survivors.

In addition to the discussion, there will be a pop-up shop featuring products and services from wellness vendors and local businesses. Vendors include health and wellness products, accessories, and more. If vendors are interested, please click this link to register.

Bosom Buddies Foundation is committed to supporting women affected by breast cancer through advocacy, education, and resources. The foundation is dedicated to improving the quality of life for breast cancer patients, survivors, and their families.
