The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a shooting death investigation after receiving a call Sunday night around 8.

Major Anzell N. Harris said deputies responded to the area of Holly Court in Weldon and Halifax County EMS confirmed an adult male died of a fatal gunshot wound in the parking area.

The Criminal Investigation Division is investigating.
