A Roanoke Rapids man wanted for 15 counts of second-degree exploitation of a minor surrendered to the Halifax County Detention Center Thursday night.

Roanoke Rapids police Chief Shane Guyant confirmed that Cameron Corey Houston received a $750,000 secured bond. He has a June 27 district court appearance.

Detention center records show Houston was admitted shortly before 10 p.m.

The charges stem from information investigators received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about a person distributing and receiving child pornography.

Late last week investigators executed a search warrant on his residence near the 1400 block of West Chaloner Drive.

At the time of the search warrant execution Houston had already left the area.
