The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a missing person around 8 this morning.

Captain Scott Hall said family members reported that David Lynn Butler, 58, was last seen leaving his Driftwood Lane home on Saturday in the afternoon hours. 

Butler left his home on foot. He stands approximately 6-feet tall and has a slender build. He has salt and pepper hair and beard and wears eyeglasses. He was believed to be wearing a coral colored short-sleeve shirt, blue jeans, and gray Hey Dude shoes. 

Butler is also a type 2 diabetic who requires regular insulin dosages.
