The Roanoke Rapids Police Department reported the following, according to Chief Bobby Martin:

On November 30 around 10 a.m. a man and woman took a victim’s financial card from their purse and used it without permission.

The crime occurred at a business in the area of Premier Boulevard. Police did not name the business.

The pair were seen leaving the store after using the card to buy items.

Defrauding an innkeeper

The police department is investigating a case of defrauding an innkeeper that occurred at an undisclosed business in the area of East Tenth Street and Virginia Avenue shortly before 4 p.m. on  December 7.

The person in question left after failing to pay for $60 worth of food.
