A Roanoke Rapids man Thursday was charged with meth trafficking following a morning raid on Dickens Avenue.

Lieutenant Shane Guyant of the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office said Jeb Robert Green, 39, also faces other charges as a result of the execution of a search warrant around 10 a.m.

Narcotics agents, uniformed deputies, the Hazardous Entry and Arrest Team and canine Rocko went to the residence after a search warrant was granted based on an investigation by Agent B. Murphy for purported drug sales there.

Green was at the residence at the time of the search warrant service. Their search resulted in the seizure of two weapons, 102 grams of methamphetamine, marijuana, paraphernalia and $850.

Along with the trafficking count Green faces the following charges: Possession with intent to sell and deliver methamphetamine, felony possession of methamphetamine, felony maintaining a dwelling for storage of a controlled substance, possession of a firearm by a felon, possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Green, who has a 2004 drug-related conviction, received a $41,500 bond and January 11 court date.
