ABC2’s 2022 Community Thanksgiving Dinner will provide more than 500 families an opportunity to enjoy a complete holiday meal for the Thanksgiving holiday.
ABC2 is seeking donations and sponsorships to ensure the Community Thanksgiving Dinner is a success.
Dinner will be served at the Dawson Resiliency Hub on Saturday, November 19 at 2 p.m.
There will be live entertainment, community resource sharing information,and other activities.
“ABC2 wants to bless every child in this community to experience the joy of having a Thanksgiving dinner with their family and community,” said Chester Williams of the organization.
ABC2 is a nonprofit organization which connects rural communities with resources to activate youth power and advocate for realistic solutions and healthier lifestyles.
ABC2 has established a resiliency and food hub at the former Dawson Elementary School to serve Halifax and northeastern North Carolina.
ABC2 also delivers weekly food boxes, hot and cold meals. It holds forums on issues facing the communities.
“The Community Thanksgiving Dinner will provide an opportunity to bring the children and families together at the Dawson Resiliency Hub,” Williams said. “Your donation will ensure the meals.”
