The Cam I Am Youth Foundation donated more than 24 pairs of shoes to Weldon City Schools including some special edition Air Jordan sneakers.

The Raleigh-based foundation also donated articles of clothing to the school system.

The foundation has been donating shoes and clothing to the system since 2020.

The distribution of the items is being led by Weldon City Schools social worker April Whitaker. Sizes of the items are appropriate for elementary through high school-aged students.

“The foundation is focused on supporting youth in a variety of ways,” said Cameron Massenburg, founder and CEO of the foundation. “We are pleased to be able to provide these shoes and clothes to Weldon students, and hopefully that will bring more joy to their lives.”

In addition to providing resources and knowledge-based support, the foundation strives to foster positive relationships to create pathways to success for the youth it serves. “We are very appreciative of the Cam I Am Youth Foundation’s continued support of Weldon city youth,” said Superintendent Dannie Williams. “These are items that our children need and that they will enjoy thanks to Mr. Massenburg.”
