Bliss, Glory and Eden Scott entertained visitors to Roanoke Rapids City Council’s meeting Tuesday night playing an assortment of Christmas carols.
Katie Ammann of the Music School of Roanoke Rapids has been working with the sisters for a good five years or more, she said before the meeting. “They love playing familiar songs for people.”
Michelle Scott, mother of the girls, said they were honored to be asked to perform before the meeting. “I think they’re very talented.”

Mayor Emery Doughtie said he heard them perform at a wedding he attended.
The mayor also recognized Ammann for moving into the former Freid’s building on Roanoke Avenue to open the music school. “She’s brought new life into that building.”
Doughtie said the sisters are “using the talents God gave them. You can tell they are close-knit. They brought a Christmas wish to us. We’re glad to have you.”
