The Men's Service Club at Roanoke River Correctional Institution has been limited in their fundraising due to the COVID pandemic, however, they have been able to participate in a few food sales in order to raise money for the community.

These food sales enabled the Men's Service Club to present Carolina Rest Home with a check for $700.

The check was presented by Men's Service Club Coordinator Lori Bradshaw to Recreation and Activities Director Charnell Mallory last week.

Mallory said that the residents will be excited for these funds and she is going to give each resident a plant to care for in their rooms and provide outside recreational activities in the spring.

The Men's Service Club provides opportunities for offender's to better themselves spiritually, mentally, physically, and morally.

The Club provides offenders with a positive way to help each other, as well as the community.
