The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office reported the following, according to Captain A.M. Harris:
The narcotics division is seeking Bruce Alton Jones, 72, of Edwards Street.
Agent D.J. Epperson had received information of Jones selling large quantities of crack cocaine from his residence in Weldon.
During Epperson’s investigation Jones sold crack cocaine to an undercover agent on two occasions at his residence on March 5 and May 24.
On June 4 agents executed a search warrant at the residence and collected crack cocaine and several items of drug paraphernalia.
Epperson obtained warrants for the arrest of Jones on charges of felony possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, three counts of maintaining a vehicle/dwelling for a controlled substance, two counts each of sell cocaine, deliver cocaine and possession with intent to sell/deliver cocaine.
Jones frequents the South Weldon, Emporia and Richmond areas and has been entered into NCIC as a wanted person.
Agents encourage Jones to surrender to law enforcement.

Cocaine seized during traffic stop
On July 30 shortly after 10 a.m. Epperson conducted a traffic stop on Highway 903 near Aurelian Springs Road for a motor vehicle violation.
During the encounter with Avery Alexander Taylor, 26, of Jesslyn Drive, Epperson seized marijuana, cocaine and drug paraphernalia.
Agent B.J. Murphy arrested and served Taylor with a warrant for arrest for felony possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia on Tuesday.
Taylor received a $5,000 bond with an August 18 court date.
