The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office reported the following, according to Captain A.M. Harris:

Roanoke Rapids

On Wednesday shortly after 7 p.m., narcotics agents were in the area of Wendover Lane following up on drug complaints. 

Agents had received complaints of possible drug activity based on reports of several cars going to a residence and staying a short time and then leaving throughout the night.

Agent B.J. Murphy stopped a vehicle leaving the Wendover Lane residence on West Tenth Street near Colonial Drive for a motor vehicle violation.

During the search, smoking pipes and cocaine were seized.

Murphy cited the driver, Wendy Wells, 54, of Roanoke Rapids with a North Carolina Uniform Citation for possession of drug paraphernalia. 

Murphy arrested and charged Melissa Christine Trezza, 37, for felony possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Both received December 16 court dates and Trezza was given a written promise to appear.

Agent A.D. Cash and his dog Bosco assisted.

Enfield

Narcotics agents are seeking Mohamed Abdo Ali Mubarez, 20,of West Franklin Street in Enfield. 

Agents have obtained warrants for the arrest of Mubarez after an investigation of the man reportedly selling marijuana while working as a clerk at the 301 Mart. 

Agents had received information from Officer P. Pierce of the Enfield Police Department on Mubarez possibly selling from the store.

Warrants were obtained on Mubarez for maintaining a vehicle for a controlled substance, three counts each of sell marijuana, deliver marijuana and possession with intent to sell/deliver marijuana.

Mubarez is encouraged to surrender to law enforcement. He tends to frequent the Rocky Mount area but may be in the New York area after getting information about the warrants.
