Vidant is now allowing one healthy visitor to accompany patients having outpatient services which require sedation or anesthesia at its facilities.

The policy went into effect today. The healthy visitor must be screened and be wearing a mask.

“This update is part of the organization’s thoughtful and phased approach to increasing essential care and services, announced on May 3,” Vidant said in a statement this afternoon.  “The organization has implemented additional cleaning and social distancing practices to ensure a safe environment for patients, visitors and team members.”
