Trevon Fields, who was wanted in a June 23 breaking and entering, has been taken into custody, Roanoke Rapids Police Chief Chuck Hasty confirmed.

Fields was spotted in the 100 block of a mill village street, although it was not immediately which one, Hasty said.

Lieutenant Jeff Baggett obtained warrants for his arrest following a report of a breaking and entering in the 300 block of Henry Street. Police received the report around 3:15 p.m.

The victim told Baggett while they were upstairs they heard a noise downstairs. The victim found Fields coming through a backdoor. Fields also reportedly burned a hole in a window.

The victim confronted Fields, who fled the area.

Baggett obtained warrants for the arrest of Fields for breaking and entering and arson.
