The North Carolina State Highway Patrol continues to seek information on an April 2, 2017, hit and run crash which claimed the life of a Roanoke Rapids man.

Sergeant B.B. Clark said troopers are still seeking clues and looking for potential witnesses in the crash which claimed the life of 44-year-old Kareem Mayo.

As was the case when the highway patrol last updated the case, troopers still do not have a vehicle description. Mayo, a pedestrian, was struck around 1:30 that morning.

Trooper Levern Bynum responded to the scene at Highway 48 near the Green Store outside Roanoke Rapids.

Mayo was struck by a vehicle while he was apparently in the travel lane.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Highway Patrol office at 252-200-3490 or Crimestoppers at 252-583-4444.
