Roanoke Rapids police are looking for a man wanted in a weekend stabbing at the Carolina Inn.
Chief Chuck Hasty said Devone Robinson typically frequents the 900 block of Henry Street.
Master Officer Gorton Williams obtained warrants for Robinson's arrest on charges of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury; second-degree trespass; injury to personal property and breaking, entering and larceny.
The charges are associated with an 8 a.m. call reporting a stabbing occurring around 2:30 a.m. Saturday, Hasty said in statement.
The victim told Williams, Robinson, 42, forced his way into his room and assaulted him.
The victim, who was stabbed in the arm, got away from Robinson by fleeing to the bathroom and locking the door.
Robinson reportedly took the victim's cane and left. Nothing else was reported missing.
Robinson was last seen walking away from the Carolina Inn wearing a white T-shirt and blue shorts.
The victim was treated and released.
Robinson stands 5-feet, 11-inches tall and weighs approximately 250 pounds.
