The state Highway Patrol has filed charges in a crash last Tuesday which claimed the life of an Enfield man.
Trooper J.D. Warren Jr. charged Kenny Earl Battle, 36, of Whitakers, with misdemeanor death, driving while license revoked and reckless driving.
The misdemeanor death charge, Warren explained, reflects that Travis Earl Dickens, 35, a passenger in the vehicle, was not intentionally killed in the wreck off Low Ground Road.
Battle has an October 12 court date.
