The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in identifying a person who stole a water hose from an elderly victim in the South Weldon area.

The theft was reported on Sunday around 3 p.m. It is believed the theft took place around 6 a.m. on Sunday, according to Major Scott Hall.

While a misdemeanor, Hall said, “Any and all thefts are important no matter how big or small the loss may be and we're committed to doing any and everything we can to assist our victims.”
