A Roanoke Rapids man who lured a victim to the Cal Floyd Road area outside Gaston under the pretense of buying a gaming system is wanted for armed robbery, according to the Northampton County Sheriff's Office.

Captain M.D. DeLoatch Sr. said the crime occurred on February 10 when 28-year-old Paris Terell Rooks confronted the victim at gunpoint and demanded money.

DeLoatch said Rooks lists a Roanoke Rapids address but is also known to frequent the towns of Halifax and Weldon.
