Persons of interest have been developed in the two Subway robberies as well the two Dollar General robberies, the Halifax County Sheriff's Office said today.

Detective Obert Wiltsie said now investigators need assistance from the public in getting the cases sewn up.

The four robberies all appear to be related, Wiltsie said, and occurred in the West Tenth Street and Bolling Road areas outside Roanoke Rapids.

The Subway robberies occurred 13 days apart — the first on August 8 and the second on August 21 —while one Dollar General robbery occurred on July 21 and the other on August 1.

The sheriff's office is particularly looking for information on the people involved and vehicle descriptions. “If they have information a lot can be done. It can be done anonymously,” Wiltsie said.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call the sheriff's office at 252-593-1019 or Crimestoppers at 252-583-4444.
