The Subway on West Tenth Street was robbed Thursday night, the second time in about two weeks.

Halifax County Sheriff Wes Tripp said this morning investigators are looking into the possibility it is related to the last one, as well as the possibility it could be related to one that occurred at the Dollar General around the first of this month. “We always explore those avenues. The motive seems to be the same.”

The robbery occurred shortly after 10:30 p.m. when two men entered the restaurant wearing all black with their faces covered. They demanded money and left with an undisclosed amount.

Tripp said a canine track led investigators to an area where a car was possibly parked that the men may have used to flee the area.

One is described as a black male with a dark complexion standing 6-feet tall. The other has the same description, down to the clothing, however, he was described as standing 5-feet, 5-inches tall.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call the sheriff's office at 252-583-8201 or Crimestoppers at 252-583-4444.
