The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office is looking for Sabrina Dent in reference to 17 counts of worthless checks written on a closed account.

Detective Obert Wiltsie said in a statement the charges were the result of checks being written and cashed on an account or accounts that were no longer active.

The total amount in losses is $661.84.

Dent has ties to Roanoke Rapids, Weldon, and Seaboard.
