The Weldon Police Department is hoping an Oklahoma City Thunder coat left behind by one of four alleged breaking and entering suspects Tuesday night may help determine their identities.
The suspects also left behind a large-faced watch with a blue and black band as they fled from the scene upon arrival of police, Chief Mark Macon said.
Officer L. Clanton said the police department received the call around 9 p.m. When officers arrived at 406 Mackie Street, at the intersection of Allen Street, four people were seen running toward Corbit Drive.
One of them apparently dropped the coat as well as the watch.
Nothing was taken during the breaking and entering, Macon said.
Anyone with information is encouraged to call the police department at 252-536-3136 or Crimestoppers at 252-583-4444.
