Dunham’s Sports building plans filed with the city show more than 50,000 square feet of sales floor divided into several different merchandise categories.

City Planning and Development Director Kelly Lasky said today the sporting goods store plans a late summer opening on property off Premier Boulevard once designated for a Farm Fresh supermarket.

Plans show the sales floor will encompass 50,567 square feet and will include a golf hitting room and putting green.

The departments will be divided to include footwear, golf, general athletics and team sports, seasonal merchandise, exercise and outdoor and camping equipment.

The store will be further divided to include men’s, women’s and youth apparel as well as licensed apparel and working and hunting wear.

A spokesperson for the Michigan-based sporting goods store did not immediately return a phone call this afternoon.

The store will occupy the part of the retail complex originally planned for the Farm Fresh building and plans call for the other retail outlets to be eventually be occupied.
