Halifax County Commissioners Monday night announced they will accept applications for those interested in applying for the unexpired term of Sheriff Jeff Frazier.

The commissioners will use this application process to fully evaluate each potential appointee, according to a press release from the county manager’s office.

The submission deadline is May 15 at 5 p.m. The commissioners plan to interview well-qualified candidates within weeks after the deadline.
