A Roanoke Rapids man who allegedly used and stole a financial card left in a bank ATM turned himself in to city police this morning.
Major Tommy Hathaway said Robert Jerome Fleming, of Collins Avenue, was released on $500 unsecured bond and has a March 6 court date.
Fleming, who turned himself into Detective Jeff Baggett, was charged with larceny and possession of stolen property.
Hathaway said Fleming turned himself in because he saw his photo in the news.
The card was allegedly used to withdraw $300 from the victim’s account after she forgot to remove it from the ATM at the State Employee’s Credit Union on January 8.
