Surveillance photos show a truck loaded with gas cans in the bed are believed to be part of a credit card scam in which nearly $400 in fuel was stolen.

Lieutenant Jerry Powell of the Enfield Police Department said there are 19, five-gallon cans in the bed that were filled using a stolen credit card. Gas was also put in the truck on December 14.

Powell said he believes the truck, a 1992 to 1996 Ford F-150 extended cab, may be local to the Enfield area or Halifax County.

Some 116 gallons of gas was bought on the stolen card.

The police department is requesting the public’s assistance in locating the black truck and its owner.

The pickup has a large red Christmas bow attached to the front grill area and a small red Christmas bow attached to the radio antenna.

There is some damage to the paint on the right side of the truck’s hood. The truck also has an aluminum toolbox located in the bed and has chrome wheels and light colored pin striping.
