The Roanoke Rapids Police Department reported on its Facebook page that at approximately 4:30 p.m. today a dark-skinned black male robbed the Payless Shoe Store near Walmart.
The suspect used a handgun.
A spokesperson from the police department was not immediately available for comment this evening.
