Hakeem Cotton and Devonte Blount have now been charged in the October 28 Subway robbery and warrants have been filed for the arrest of a woman in the crime.
Lieutenant Bobby Martin of the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office said investigators continue to look for another male and female who were allegedly involved in the crime.

Cotton
Martin said it appears the two females, one named Tasha Caine, 22, of Enfield, went into the restaurant on West Tenth Street around 8:30 that night to make sure no one but employees were inside.
Devonte Blount then allegedly went in to get everyone on the floor as a still unidentified male grabbed cash. It remains unclear who beat the two employees but Martin said Hakeem Cotton allegedly covered as the crime took place.
Through a joint investigation with Roanoke Rapids police investigators Thursday, both departments got a break in respective cases and were able confirm that Cotton, 24, of Weldon; Blount, 19, of Roanoke Rapids, and Caine were allegedly involved in the Subway robbery.

Blount
Cotton and Blount have both been charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and felony conspiracy.
Caine, who has yet to be arrested, also faces the same charges.
The charges filed by the sheriff’s office today upped the $150,000 bonds imposed on the men to $210,000. They have December 19 court dates in that case.
Martin said coordination with Roanoke Rapids was crucial in the case. “The coordination with the Roanoke Rapids Police Department greatly aided in getting our incident solved along with getting their incident solved.”
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Caine is encouraged to call the sheriff’s office at 252-583-8201 or Crimestoppers at 252-583-4444.
