A 60-year-old Littleton man has been charged with indecent liberties with a child following an investigation by the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office.

Detective R.L. Rooks said Littleton Police Officer J. Langley arrested Carlton Stanley Lee on Saturday.

Lee Langley picked up Lee on an outstanding warrant Rooks filed for an offense that allegedly occurred in July.

Rooks said thorough investigation of the case accounted for the time lapse before the warrant was served.

Rooks said the victim in the case was an underage child but declined to elaborate.

In a press release Rooks said Lee knew the victim was but was not related.

Lee was jailed on $10,000 bond and has an October 17 court date.
