Bank of America has signed documents that will allow the agreement between the city and HSV Entertainment LLC on the Roanoke Rapids Theatre to go into effect Wednesday.

City Attorney Gilbert Chichester said Bank of America signed the documents around 2 p.m. today and the city followed suit.

Chichester said HSV is expected to sign the documents Monday.

Approval by Bank of America was crucial so that if HSV decides to buy the theater it can be done so unencumbered.

Money to the city set in the contract must be paid Wednesday, Chichester said.
