KapStone Kraft Paper Corporation has named Bill Kessinger, vice president of Mill Operations at the Roanoke Rapids Mill. He will assume his new role effective September 1.
Kessinger has served as the maintenance and engineering services manager at the Charleston Mill since January 2011 where he is responsible for managing all maintenance, engineering and process control functions.
He will be a familiar face in the Roanoke Valley; he has 29 years of experience in the paper industry including 21 years at the Roanoke Rapids Mill. At Roanoke Rapids, he served as operations manager beginning in 2005 with the responsibility of leading the operating and maintenance departments at the mill.
Kessinger holds a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from Virginia Tech. He and his wife, Rhonda, have three children.

Collins
Anitra J. Collins, current vice president of Mill Operations at the Roanoke Rapids Mill recently announced her resignation effective August 30. Collins plans to pursue other professional opportunities and relocate closer to her family.
“My time here in Roanoke Rapids has been very rewarding both professionally and personally,” said Collins. “I have learned so much from the team at the Roanoke Rapids Mill and have so much respect for all of the employees. This is a bittersweet time for me as I will miss my friends and business associates here.”
