A Weldon woman visiting small claims court for another matter was served a warrant this month for a 2011 breaking and entering in which a house in Roanoke Rapids was ransacked.

Detective R. Rooks of the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office said Sherkeria Bradley was in court on July 10 when she was served the warrants for breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, possession of stolen goods, conspiracy and injury to personal property.

The sheriff’s office received the report on December 20 and discovered the house was ransacked. Damages and value of stolen items total around $20,000.

Bradley was jailed on $15,000 bond and has a September 12 court date.
