One alleged suspect has been identified and Roanoke Rapids Police are looking for two more people in a home invasion that occurred Monday morning.

Captain Andy Jackson said the victim was cleaning his apartment on Clearfield Drive with the front and back door open.

Around 11:30 the victim noticed a woman in his apartment who appeared to be 17-years-old and was light skinned with what the victim describe as funny-looking eyes.

As the victim questioned her on why she was in his apartment, two people described as black males entered from the back door.

One of the men, described as being brown skinned with a scar on his neck and in his 30s, trained a handgun on the victim, tied his hands with a cell phone cord and robbed him of $800.

The other man, described as being shorter than the other suspect, was allegedly carrying a silver handgun with a red grip. The man, described as brown skinned, shut the front door.

The woman left the apartment as the robbery occurred.

The men took the money and three cell phones and left.

Investigation by C Squad and Detective John Taylor has determined that one of the men allegedly involved was Stephen Belcher, 46, of Roanoke Rapids.

He was last known to live at 730 Jefferson Street, Apartment A. Police are actively looking for him and he is considered to be armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is encouraged to call the police department at 252-533-2810 or Halifax Central at 252-583-1991.

No one was injured in the robbery and Jackson said this appears to be a random robbery, explaining the victim said he did not know the people involved.
