A Roanoke Rapids man shot in a botched drug deal two weeks ago walked out of the hospital in his gown and blue jeans and into a most wanted list.
According to a be on the lookout notice issued Thursday night and still active today, Joshue Medina, 24, walked out of his Pitt Memorial Hospital room and may be in a 2002 Ford with a man named Terrence Trent Richardson.
It is unclear how Medina, who was one of the people charged in the Enfield shooting, left the hospital in Greenville unnoticed. He was last known to be in his hospital room on Wednesday and may need medical attention.
The notice reported on police radio bands says law enforcement should approach Medina with caution as he may be armed and dangerous and has felony warrants in Virginia and Halifax County.
Captain Jay Burch of the Halifax County Sheriff's Office said all warrants by that agency have been served on Medina but he may be a person of interest in other crimes.
Medina is a light skinned black male who stands about 6 feet tall and weighs 150 pounds.
