Three challengers have now filed to run against three incumbents for the Scotland Neck Board of Commissioners.
Monday saw newcomers Angelique Gray and Joe Williams file to run against incumbents Charles Shields, Raymond Watson and James Gunnells. Raymond Hyman, a challenger, filed July 8.
Scotland Neck incumbent Mayor Eddie Braxton is thus far running unopposed.
Also on Monday incumbent Roanoke Rapids School Board member Cathy Hux Keeter filed for re-election. Tammy Colston, also an incumbent, filed July 9.
In Hobgood incumbent town commissioners Milton Armston and Julian Padgette filed.
Incumbent Littleton commissioner Gerleen Pitchford filed Friday.
The municipal election is set for November 5.
The filing period for municipal elections ends July 19 at noon.
