A fight call at a city park Wednesday led to the seizure of 14 bags of marijuana totaling 20 grams.

Officer Daniel Hundley responded to a fight call at Eddie George Park, which is located on Virginia Avenue behind the armory shortly before 3 p.m.

Captain Andy Jackson said Hundley and Sergeant Perry Parks found 20 middle school students at the park watching two older people fight. The officers had the middle school students disperse.

After a search of both of the people who were allegedly fighting, the officers reportedly found 14 individual bags of marijuana on 18-year-old Sequan Jamel Robinson, 18, of Clinton Street. The other person had nothing on them, Jackson said.

Robinson was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver schedule VI, possession of schedule VI up to a half ounce and possession of narcotics in a city park.

Jackson said the possession in a city park charge carries a stiffer penalty, much like a charge of selling drugs within a school zone does.

Robinson was jailed on $5,000 bond and has a May 18 court date.
