Delivery of an order for arrest led to drug charges for two people at a house on Sunset Crest Lane in Roanoke Rapids Wednesday.

Halifax County Sheriff’s Office Lieutenant Chuck Hasty went to the house to serve a warrant from New Hanover County to John Williams Hall and smelled marijuana coming from the house.

Hasty obtained a search warrant and he, deputies Herbert Williams, Harold Phillips and C.E. Carroll, along with Narcotics Agent Tim Harris and his dog, Josh, discovered 15 grams of powdered cocaine, 2 grams of crack and a nickel bag of marijuana.

The officers charged Cristal Lynn Williams, 41, with possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver cocaine, maintaining a dwelling, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Marshall Tyler Moseley, 19, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and Hall was served the outstanding warrants.

Williams was jailed on $30,000 bond and has a February 16 court date, Moseley was given a $500 bond with the same court date as Williams and Hall has a $600 bond with December 13 and December 21 court dates in New Hanover County.
