Counterfeit clothes and other bogus items were found Friday after a stop for a traffic violation in Weldon.
Detective Tyree Davis of the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office said he stopped an SUV on Highway 158.
Sergeant Will Shaw of the Weldon Police Department and his dog were called and the canine indicated on the vehicle.
A search by Davis found counterfeit clothes, shoes, handbags, hats, DVDs and CDs worth about $20,000.

Flowers
Davis said the man charged, Adam Flowers, 30, from Weldon, owns a business in the town.
Davis declined to name the business because the man denied the merchandise was linked. Davis did say investigation is continuing.
Flowers is charged with possession of recorded devices showing true name, criminal use of a counterfeit trademark and carrying a concealed gun.
He was jailed on $2,500 bond and has an October 13 court date.
