A 49-year-old Roanoke Rapids man was charged Sunday with first degree sex offense and indecent liberties with a minor.
Detective Roy Rooks of the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office said Willie James Rosser was charged following an investigation. Family members of the 12-year-old female victim reported something happened Friday evening.
Rosser was jailed on $250,000 bond and has a September 15 court date.
