Two Henderson residents were arrested after a shooting in Warrenton last week left a Norlina man injured.

Warren County Sheriff Johnny Williams said that law enforcement was called to the scene of a disturbance in a yard in the Horse Creek subdivision off North Main Street in Warrenton at 9:25 a.m. on July 7.

Williams said that it appears that Wayne Timmons, Jr., 17, of Norlina and Anton Devon Ormond, 21, of Henderson were arguing when Ormond allegedly shot Timmons in the thigh. Another bullet grazed the side of Timmons' head, Williams said.
Timmons was transported by Warren County Emergency Medical Services to Maria Parham Medical Center in Henderson for treatment.

That evening, Ormond and Sylvia Annette Ormond, 41, of the same Henderson address, turned themselves in at the Warren County Sheriff's Office, where they were arrested, Williams said.
Anton Devon Ormond was charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon with the intent to kill inflicting serious injury and felony possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

He was placed in the Warren County Detention Center (WCDC) under $170,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court today.
Sylvia Annette Ormond was charged with felony accessory after the fact.

She was placed in the WCDC under $5,000 bond and is also scheduled to appear in court today.
The local sheriff's office was assisted by the N.C. Highway Patrol, as well as the Warrenton and Henderson police departments.
