Investigation into a larceny at a Hollister sawmill company ended Wednesday with the arrest of a second person.

Detective James Matthews of the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office charged Lucus Martez Webb, 23, with felony breaking and entering and larceny after breaking and entering at the R.C. Williams Lumber Company Inc. on Arcola Road.

Webb was jailed on $2,500 and has a June 2 court date.

Matthews said Webb and Ronald Ray “Pinky” Richardson, 35, allegedly stole equipment and metal from the sawmill valued at around $5,000.

Richardson was charged last month with felony breaking and entering and larceny after breaking and entering.

The warrants served stem from a crime at the sawmill. He was also served warrants for failing to appear in court on April 7 for larceny of a firearm and possession of a firearm by felon along with a warrant for larceny of tin and other metal items taken from a house on Junco Lane in Hollister which is also owned by the Williams family.
