Jennifer Stansbury Clark, the girlfriend of the man who killed himself following a March 25 bank robbery, is in custody.

Roanoke Rapids Deputy Police Chief Adam Bondarek said Clark, 26, faces charges of aiding and abetting armed robbery, conspiracy to commit armed robbery and aiding and abetting kidnapping. The last charged is linked to her boyfriend, Nicolas Pierre Clark, holding two people hostage following the bank robbery.

Clark allegedly called 911 to report a Tahoe was stolen from the East Tenth Street Blue Flame by a black male wearing a wig. She claimed the vehicle was last seen headed to Sonic. “Further investigation determined it was false,” Captain Andy Jackson said earlier this week of the report. “It was believed to be made to free the robbery suspect from the house.”

A standoff with Nicolas Clark at Patsy Albritton Street ended when Clark shot himself in the head.

She was jailed on $5,000 bond.
