A Hollister man was arrested Saturday on several warrants after a Halifax County Sheriff’s Office deputy saw him walking on Arcola Road.

Detective James Matthews said Deputy D. Bozard was patrolling the Arcola Road area when he saw Ronald Ray “Pinky” Richardson heading to Warren County.

Bozard approached Richardson and charged him with felony breaking and entering and larceny after breaking and entering.

These warrants stem from a crime at the saw mill owned by R.C. Williams Lumber Company Inc. located on Arcola Rd.

Richardson, 35, was served additional warrants for failing to appear in court on April 7 for larceny of a firearm and possession of a firearm by felon and a warrant for larceny of tin and other metal items taken from a house on Junco Lane in Hollister which is also owned by the Williams family.

Richardson was jailed on $18,500 bond. He has a May 5 court date.
